Insignia of Blaricum

This website "Blaricum Past and Present" is dedicated to the village of Blaricum, in particular to its old centre with farms. A brief description is given of the history of the region "het Gooi". Also a brief review is given of the history of the "erfgooiers", persons owing a share in the Gooiland commons.

The second part of this site shows the beauty of this village with its characteristic farms. An introduction is given in the history and construction of the farms and haystacks, followed by a series of recent and old photographs.

A large part is devoted to old postcards. By moving the mouse pointer over the postcard it is changed into a picture of the current situation.
The postcards are part of a large collection owned by my brother in law Co Vos. Many old photographs were made by Martin van Doornik and his father.

Finally there is a list of links to websites which will provide more information about 't Gooi, villages and towns; note that these sites are all in Dutch.
