My 1958 NSU Quickly L

My 1958 Quickly L Being too busy as the secretary of the NSU Club Nederland, I had no time to get my first, dutch-built Quickly L into the state I wanted. Then I spotted a very nicely rebuilt one on eBay. The price was right, so I started bidding. And became the owner at a very good end price.

While on it, I became the highest bidder on a second Quickly this seller had put up; so now my wife can drive a unrestored 1960 Quickly N.

This Quicky L is in a perfect state - it requires no work to run, and will be hard to improve. I have a feeling that the red color is not hte proper Korallenrot, but as this color combination is pretty rare, hardly anybody will notice.

1959 Quickly L AdI had seen this combination before, in the advertisement displayed to the left of this paragraph. It's a colored black/white picture, but it always appealed to me. I just wanted the leg shield, to make mine complete.

During the International NSU Treffen in Chevetogne (B), the motor started to make problems; The cranck bearings were loose in the casing. It's been fixed, but the engine has not run, yet, as there seems to be something not mounted right

During a 50 Years NSU Quickly-anniversary meet in Rockanje (NL), I was able to get the leg shield, almost complete. A quick order at Motzke completed the set.

Due to some new projects and a lot of other stuff, I did not get to mount the legshield, yet, but I do get to drive a lot of kilometers; on sunny day's, it's a nice commuter-ride.
