1960 NSU Quickly S/2

1960 Quickly S/2 On March 29, I discovered an offer for this Quickly S/2 on Marktplaats. It was painted in an unusual color scheme, and mostly in parts. But as a plus there were quite some extra parts that went with the bike. The price seemed right, and within 2 days I was the proud new owner. First inventory shows it is quite complete, and includes the original 25-inch rims, with usable tires!

The S/2 is built for two-seater usage; it has bigger brakes then the standard models (the same as on the T, TT and TT/K models), and was the first to have the 1.7 BHP 3-Gear engine. With the slightly smaller 25-inch wheels it has much power when driving off, and the top speed is not bad, as well.

Update, August 24: The unit has been rebuild by my father. The most work was done on the engine (which was full with a thick grease instead of oil), and the tank. You can always buy a new tank, but we cannot get or run these bikes if we do not spend time on saving parts ...

The Quickly is currently pending examination to get it registered.
