Finkenstein am Faaker See is a municipality in the Austrian federal state Karinthie, lain in the district Villach land. The municipality has approximately 8200 inhabitants. Villach (Slo: Beljak) is a city lain on 10 km of the Faaker see. The municipality has approximately 57,600 inhabitants. It is the second to largest city of Karinthië and lies at the river Drau (Slo: Drave). The Faaker See is the southernest and warmest lake of Austria with a water temperature of ca 26° C in summer. At the east side of the Faaker See, is these beautiful situated Cafe / Bar Restaurant with look out on the Mittagskogel (Sloveens: Kepa). The Mittagskogel is a 2145 meter high mountain in the Karawanken on the border between the Austrian federal state Karinthië and the Land Slovenia.
